Essay on Poor Family

Once in a kindergarten, a teacher asked all students to write an essay on the topic "A Poor Family".

One student gets the lowest marks for writing that essay.
The student happens to be the richest girl in the entire class and her essay goes on as.......

She wrote:
Ek baar ek bahut hee gareeb family thi,
husband aur wife dono gareeb they, do bachey they,

Ghar ke saare naukar bhi gareeb they,

aur uppar se ghar mein
1 saal se paint nahi hua tha!!

Family ko holiday ke liye foregin country gaye bhi 6 mahiney ho gaye they,
Ghar ke 5 mein sey 2 TV to chaltey hee nahi they!!!

All in all, bahut hi gareeb family thi!!

Yaadein Achchhi yaadein...............

When Gulli-Danda & Kanche (marbles) were more popular than cricket.

When we always had friends to play aais-paais (I Spy), chhepan-chhepai

& pitthoo anytime ... When we desperately waited for 'Yeh Jo Hai

Jindagi' (Doordarshan serial)

When chitrahaar, vikram-baitaal, Dada Daadi Ki Kahaniyaan were so fulfilling.

When there was just one Tv in every five houses and...

When Bisleris were not sold in the trains and we were worrying if papas will get

back into the train in time or not when they were getting down at stations to fill up the water bottle ...

When we were going to bed by 9.00pm sharp except for the 'Yeh Jo Hai Jindagi' day ...

When Holis & Diwalis meant mostly hand-made pakwaans and sweets and moms seeking our help while preparing them ...

When Maths teachers were not worried of our Mummies and papas while slapping/beating us ...

When we were exchanging comics and stamps and Chacha-Chaudaris & Billus were our heroes ...

When we were in Nanihaals every summer and loved flying kites and plucking and eating unripe mangoes and leechies ...

When one movie every Sunday evening on television was more than asked for and 'ek do teen chaar' and 'Rajani' inspired us ...

When 50 paisa meant at least 10 toffees ...

When left over pages of the last years notebooks were used for rough work or even fair work ...

When 'Chelpark' and 'Natraaj' were encouraged against 'Reynolds
& family' ...

When the first rain meant getting drenched and playing in water and mud and making 'kaagaj ki kishtis' ...

When there were no phones to tell friends that we will be at their homes at six in the evening ...

When our parents always had 15 paise blue colored 'Antardesis' and 5 paise machli wale stamps at home ...

When we remembered tens of jokes and were not finding 'ice-cream & papa' type jokes foolish enough to stop us from laughing ...

When we were not seeing patakhes on Diwalis and gulaals on

Holis as air and noise polluting or allergic agents ...

The list can be endless ...

On the serious note I would like to summarize with ...

When we were using our hearts more than our brains, even for scientifically

brainy activities like 'thinking' and 'deciding' ...

When we were crying and laughing more often, more openly and more sincerely ...

When we were enjoying our present more than worrying about our future ...

When being emotional was not synonymous to being weak ...

When sharing worries and happiness didn't mean getting vulnerable to the listener ...

When blacks and whites were the favorite colors instead of greys ...

When journeys also were important and not just the destinations ...

When life was a passenger's sleeper giving enough time and opportunity to

enjoy the sceneries from its open and transparent glass windows instead of some

super fast's second ac with its curtained, closed and dark windows ...

I really miss them .. don't u?

Retain your Friendship

Towards grade five, it becomes time to choose a special friend, a "best" friend. This should be someone who you can rely on, not someone who is good looking and popular who will use you for your talents. This person should be loyal to you, and shouldn´t be eager to talk behind your back about you. You should be able to trust this person in keeping personal secrets, and not telling.

This choice is an important one, don´t underestimate it! And remember, a boy can be a girl´s best friend, and visa-versa. You don´t have to be "Boyfriend-Girlfriend" to be Best Friends. This may happen in the future, but it doesn´t have to if you don´t want it to. Good luck in choosing your favorite friend! In todays hectc environment and life culture it has become so difficlt to find good friends. Would it not be a better idea if I tell you some link from where you can find the friend of your own kind. If you want to make friends online or you are searching for a net fried just click on the below link to find one. Making friends.Dating,Activity partners and many other things you will find all that you need.

It’s important that you and your parents are on the same “channel” when it comes to your online activities. This includes when you can go online, how long you can stay online, and what activities you can do online. Communicating with your parents doesn’t mean that you have to give up your privacy. It just means that you come to an agreement based on mutual trust and understanding. While you’re at it, perhaps you can help your parents better understand the Internet, what it can be used for, and how it is helpful for teens and kids.

Best friends will still have disagreements just like all people do. It is how the disagreement is handled and how it strengthens the friendship that makes this friend your best friend. Best friends accept each other for who they are, not what they have or who they know. Best friends don´t try to change one another. Best friends support each other through thick and thin.

Minor disagreements are but they don´t last long. My best friend and I have little "spats", but they make our friendship stronger. We are supporting each other through everything-no matter what!!

our child will be upset when a good friend moves away, even if you are the one that´s been transferred their feelings will start emerging in a number of ways. Understandably they will be sad and maybe even a bit angry. There are several things you can do to help them work through this anxious time. First make sure you listen to them, they will have questions about how their life may change, or fears that they won´t be able to make new friends that are as much fun.

Make a plan for keeping in touch with their friend. A weekly letter, e-mail, an occasional phone call, even some summer vacation time will keep good friends together. They can plan a secret code, and correspond in code! Make a puzzle letter by writing your notes on one side of the paper only and cutting it into 4 or 5 pieces before putting it in the envelope.

They will have lots to tell each other, after all before they spent all their time together, and now whatever they do will is news to the other! Follow through with their correspondence, by making sure the letters they write are mailed. Take pictures of your child with other mutual friends to send.

Everybody needs friends! Having someone to laugh with, cry with–someone who understands and cares and supports you–is part of what makes life worth living. But in today’s busy world, we often don’t make enough time to nurture those friendships that are so essential. Thats all folks . Best of luck :-)

Perfect Cat Training Tips

Before we start training our cats to do something or to stop doing something, we need to look at how cats learn. Cats don't understand any language and also they can not attend lectures what ever language it may be. They learn by experience. If the experience is good, they will try to repeat it. If the experience is not pleasent for them, they will try to avoid it in the future and will not learn what ever you want to make them learn. They enjoy raking the furniture with their claws, so they continue to do it. But it's quite a shock when they stick their nose in a candle flame, so they won't do that again. Its also dangourous when they put there feet into any dish that you made in the kitchen or try to spoil that.

If your cat is scratching your furniture, shredding and destroying your home, you need to realize that your cat needs to scratch and climb. Scratching conditions your cat's claws by removing the old layers of the nails. Scratching and climbing are highly enjoyable feline activities and are part of the essence of being a cat. Since your cat will want and need to scratch, provide her with a variety of scratching posts and teach her to use them. Until your cat can be trusted not to scratch and claw your furniture, she should not be allowed free run of your house when you are not there to supervise her. If your cat has a single favorite scratching site, this may be temporarily protected by covering it with some netting or loosely woven fabric. Cats do not like to snag their claws.

You can buy scratching posts at your pet store or you can build one yourself. Rough hewn 4x4's set vertically with a few horizontal resting platforms are ideal. Whether buying carpet to cover a home made post or purchasing the finished item, remember to take along a comb to check that there are no loops in the carpeting which will snag the cat's claws. You can also attach the carpeting underside-up, as the backing has a rough texture that cats enjoy.

How to become a spelling bee..

A spelling bee is a competition where contestants, usually children, are asked to spell English words. The concept originated in the United States, and is usually perceived to be a solely American practice.
Taken from From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You can choose the best one from the below ones.

1- Best way to memorize is read a word, or a spelling three or five times, then have someone quiz you, and even better, have someone quiz you, and instead of saying it out loud, write it in a word doc. or something...

2- You should pay attention to word orgins. If you know what language a word comes from, it makes it easy to spell even if you have never heard of the word.

3- Get someone to read random words from a dictionary.

4- Study the latin root words used for prefixes and suffixes.

5- Go through the spelling list and see which words he needs to work on. Then, use those words and pretend to be in a play or movie. Use the spelling words (look it up and find how to pronounce it) and be very dramatic. Make sure to use them correctly. After that, little theatre is over. say the words and tell how to spell it, (part by part. ex: five words at a time)
Then, you can repeat that over and over again until he gets it.

6- It is more important at this point to address his low-self esteem, or he won't even be able to study any of those words. Let him know YOU find those words extremely difficult, too, and celebrate/reward him every time he learns even one of them. Make the learning extraordinarily fun. Downplay the importance of the Spelling Bee. It's just a game. Let him go into this with a healthy perspective. I lost a spelling bee in the fourth grade and won it in the sixth grade because the prior experience gave me confidence.

If we produce enough food to feed everyone in the world, why don't we?

We already have way more than enough food to feed the entire world. As it is huge amounts of food go to waste every year. The problem is not that there is not enough, but that the people in countries cannot afford it, and if their harvest fails they can't afford to have it imported either.

Ah, so why don't we give them this food that's going to waste for free, we have no other use for it? Well, that would bankrupt the economies of the countries receiving the food. In those places many peoples livelihoods rely on the food industry; farming is the one of the most common occupations, and then people get employed to package, sell, collect or prepare the food the farmers grow.
Now imagine what would happen if suddenly there was loads of free food around. Why would people still BUY the produce grown in the country? They wouldn't. As no one was buying he food the farmers would go bankrupt as they would make no money. As the food industry would make no money, and thus collapse, the other people payed to package, sell, collect, prepare, etc the food grown wouldn't make any money either, as they would be out of a job or their employers couldn't afford to pay them. Many, many people who previously had a job and enough money to survive would be much, much poorer. This would be especially bad considering in most third world countries the food industry is the main employer.

Thus giving third world countries free food would make the people even poorer.

Also it'd screw up the rest of the country too as the food industries are very important to the economy.

Since we Canada and the United States give so much food and money to poor countries you would think that there would be no starving children... Right? wrong. the country whom we give food and money to take it from the mouths of starving children women and men and sell it for arms.... wonder why I personally don't give to those charities anymore.... If every nation focused on feeding their own starving instead or arms or nuclear what ever it is they do would stop for one minute and look at the big picture we might get somewhere...

We all know that, but some people are so selfish and ignorant that think that the poor people should look for a job, instead of asking for money or free food on the streets. Not everybody has the privilege of having a home and some extra money for their every day needs yet some people complain of having to wake up early or getting their a*s*s*e*s out of bed to go to work. I work in the food industry for a world famous restaurant and I see how much food we waste and throw away, giving that in other countries there are children dying of hunger. So come on people lets be a little more open minded and stop throwing your food away just for the heck of it.

To add to that, of course the dispersment of food is the real problem, getting it to the people mist in need. As to why this is, remember in this country and most other countries, food is buisness. Supply and demand is true here as in anything else. Example: The United States Produces enough milk for the entire world, times 2. Why then is all this abundance not hitting the parts of the world its needed most. Profit is the reason, more money can be made when the public believes there's a finite supply, means they can charge more for an abundently available product. Capiitalism, at its finest.
